- The 'W' Drill
  
      Start out the drill by feeding your player a short volley and immediately follow up with a deep overhead, pushing him to jump backwards in execution of an overhead.
  
      Then feed another volley for a player to close on the net play faster.
  
      Keep feeding the same sequences across court and back several times.
