    Stride Line Drill

     view description
    • Stride Line Drill

      • The goal is to help young pitchers establish proper stride direction toward home plate.
      • Use this drill to work with pitchers whose strides are too far closed or too far open. These two habits can lead to arm injury and inconsistency.
      • Have your players start in the set position to keep the drill simple.
      • The drill can be done on or off the mound, with or without a ball.
      • You can use any sort of line, such as athletic tape or string, which helps the pitcher mark his direction.
