Looking at your depth chart, decide on your top personnel groupings and how many different ones you plan to have this year. What is your strongest grouping?
Here are some examples:
First Number = Running Backs
Second Number = Tight Ends
10 (spread), 20 (spread), 11(mix), 21(traditional), 22, 23 (red zone), etc.
What personnel grouping gets the best 11 players on the field?
If you lose a key athlete, what personnel grouping becomes your next strongest?
Always have a backup for your backup groupings and remember to create depth charts for each grouping that you can keep updated for each game.
This will form the basis of which offensive formations you will select from next.
Name your top three groupings (Colors, Cities, Numbers, etc.) Something easy to communicate on game day because you may need to switch rapidly on the sideline.

How can you build an offensive system that will score enough points to win games every season? By finding a system that is flexible enough to fit the different strengths you see year to year. Pro Spread Offense is a system built with the variety and adaptability to do just this. Avoid the frustration of trying to "force" players to play certain positions that just aren't ideal for them.
