You should now have your complete play list to start the season. The next step is to build your install schedule. This is simple planning now where you take all the plays and determine when you will be installing them throughout the season.

Start basic and make sure players really get the core plays. You don't always know how fast players will pick up the offense so build in some flexibility.

You will lose games because they don't run plays well, NOT because you don't have plays in! Be patient, but smart.

Think ahead game by game what teams will be watching as they scout you. Ideally, each week your complimentary plays should be built off of the previous weeks tendencies.

Those at lower levels of football should focus on play execution and your playbook may only change one or two auxillary plays per week. More experienced teams may be able to add more variety in each week in the form of motions, shifts, formations and plays. The key for them is keeping concepts the same week to week.
