Lecture delivered at THSCA Coaching School 2023 - Houston, TX

Kendal Briles, TCU's offensive coordinator, shared insights into his coaching journey and philosophy. He discussed the significance of tempo, player adaptability, and leveraging strengths, focusing on offensive tactics like mixed plays and creating one-on-one matchups. Briles stressed the importance of collaboration, player development, and strategic gameplay to achieve success in college football coaching. 

Emphasizing hands-on coaching, efficient communication, and tempo in play-calling, he highlighted key strategies for disrupting opponents and maximizing scoring opportunities. Briles’s discussion underscored the critical balance between strategic planning and on-field execution for victory.

This was intended to be a fun personal project where I tried to break down one of the most prolific offenses to ever grace College Football. I soon found out that a lot of other coaches and football enthusiasts wanted to learn more as well so I thought I would put this course up for those who want to study the offense a bit more.

I tried whenever possible to use the terminology that the Briles' system coaches use (and in some instances the Kiffin Terminology) to try and make things easier to follow however there are some instances where I have used my own terminology, I will do my best to highlight instances in which I have altered some terminology.
