This course will also go into detail of how to use wristbands for no-huddle and for linemen rules. Included are all the motions, shifts, and how cadence is used as a weapon in the offense. Rocket Sweep: Mirrored with Gut is TWO-PLAYS-IN-1 to the defense, combining the FASTEST Gun run scheme in football with a TRAP-AWAY scheme that puts linebackers in conflict between reading guards and reacting to the rocket sweep. Any hesitation in pursuing rocket sweep and the LB's will be too late and the trap-away scheme is what creates this hesitation. Combined with the FttF GUT scheme (misdirection inside trap) each play puts the linebackers in conflict and makes each play even better. Tailback Rocket Sweep: Rocket sweep is the FASTEST Gun run scheme in football and puts tremendous strain on edge defenders to stop the sweep! The Tailback Gun Rocket Sweep helps feature your Tailback on the perimeter using the Full Pull or Gut Mirrored Rcoket blocking schemes. The Tailback motion to Rocket also sets up Tailback motion Down, Trap, Counter, and Play Action Passing. The Tailback Rocket can be run to a trips set or to a 2x2 Spread side. This perimeter run scheme will be valuable in any Gun based offense to attack the perimeter.
The Faster than the Fly Down Scheme is the main flow-side off-tackle scheme along with traditional Power. This is not your traditional Down Scheme, some adjustments based on running it out of the gun have been made to make it more effective by staying solid on the playside and pulling the backside guard instead. The flow of rocket sweep softens the edge making it easier to kick-out playside edge defenders. The timing from gun meshes up better pulling the backside guard. This play can be run by your slots/wings, tailback, and quarterback making it true 11 on 11 football.
