Coach Schwarz graduated from King High School in Corpus Christi, TX and attended The University of Nebraska Kearney where he received his degree in Physical Education and Health. The 2022-23 season was the 1st year at Cy Woods for Coach Schwarz and his 12th year as a Head Coach. He has 22 years of coaching experience while teaching Special Education. Before coming to Cy Woods, he was an assistant at Cy Ridge, Head Coach at Cuero High School and Lamar Consolidated High School and assistant at Cy Springs, Corpus Christi Ray, Rockport and Marlin High Schools.

Coach Schwarz’s overall record as a Head Coach is 250-115 and includes 7 District Titles in 12 seasons. In his first year with the Wildcats, he led the team to a 16-6A District Championship and a Region II Championship. The Wildcats reached many milestones in their historic 38-5 season. It was the first time the baseball team went undefeated in district play, the most wins in school history and the first time they advanced to the State Tournament. Coach Schwarz has received many honors during his coaching career, including being named District Coach of the Year 7 times, Ft. Bend Herald Area Coach of the Year in 2012 and Victoria Advocate Area Coach of the Year in 2018. He was also selected as an HABCA All-Star Coach in 2012 and a Coastal Bend All Star Coach in 2021.Married for 20 years, he and his wife, Vicky, have 3 children - Austin (20), Natalie (15) and Adam (9).
