5 Out is a offensive structure that can be ran for all levels of play from elementary to professional. In this course, Coach Lason Perkins discusses a variety of 5 Out concepts developed over the years from coaches around the world. Concepts such as basic pass and cut motion, pass and screen motion, and numbered motion are discussed. In addition, Coach Perkins also goes into Circle motion, as well as a brief discussion of the Delay actions made famous by Mike D'Antoni now popular at the NBA and college levels.
Coach Lason Perkins is a veteran coach who has worked at the high school, college, and semi-professional level for over 30 years. He has published 6 books under Basketball Sense publications and created 20 instructional courses on basketball offense with Level X Hoops/Basketball Sense. He is considered one of the first American coaches to introduce international concepts to US coaches with his videos on Secrets of International Basketball, Great Scoring Plays from Around the World, and the European Ball Screen Offense.
