Tryout Rubric - This document/rubric is used for the evaluation of players we kept & cut at the conclusion of our tryout sessions. It gave us pointed/specific documented rationale as to why players were kept &/or cut. This document was created after a dear coaching friend was publicly scrutinized for cutting players without giving them written documentation as to why they were cut. This situation led my staff & I to be preemptive in creating said document so we would avoid being in the situation our friend had found himself in. 3 pages $10.00

The Coach
I began my coaching career as a 6th grade coach & worked my way up the coaching ladder to eventually become a head coach. My coachching career lasted 27 years. Now that I am retired from coaching, I mentor coaches of all experience levels & am the Clinic Director for the Northwest Ohio District VII Basketball Coaches Association.
