The Coach
Coach Don Showalter is a USA Basketball Icon and longtime Iowa high school coach with 42 years on the sidelines at Lone Tree, Central, Mid-Prairie, and Iowa City High. He led the USA U16/U17 National Teams to 10 gold medals, coaching future NBA stars including Bradley Beal, Andre Drummond, Jalen Green, Evan Mobley, Scottie Barnes, and Jalen Suggs. Now a full-time USA Basketball leader, he directs national Coaching Academies, Gold Camps, and the U.S. Open and evaluate the country’s top prospects. Known for building elite culture, mentoring coaches, and elevating programs at every level.
