Tim Sandquist- Ball Screen & Hi-Low Offense
by Iowa Basketball Coaches Association
Description
If your continuity ball screen has gone stale and pure motion takes too long to teach, this course gives you a proven middle path: the “30 Offense.” Built for the realities of high school and junior college timelines, “30” fuses the best of motion with select ball-screen actions, plus relentless high–low pressure that punishes tags and mismatches. Coach Sandquist’s program, the “30 Offense” raised offensive output while staying philosophically defensive-minded. It’s structured enough to be scouted but not predicted perfect for leagues where opponents prep hard on film.
Book this course now to give your team a modern offense that’s simple to install, hard to scout, and ready for game night.

The Coach
Tim Sandquist is the head men’s basketball coach at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In 2025, he led the Eagles to the NJCAA Division II National Championship, the program’s fourth title finishing 33–3, with Sandquist named Coach of the Tournament.
Hired by longtime AD Doug Wagemester in 2019, Sandquist brought extensive JUCO experience, including a national runner-up finish as head coach at Rock Valley College (DIII) and six seasons in the elite Jayhawk Conference in Kansas.
A native of Omaha and UNO alum, Sandquist has coached at every level of junior college. His “30 Offense” blends motion principles, select ball-screen actions, and high-low pressure so programs with short development windows can still play modern, efficient basketball.
