Volleyball Coordination for JH - Shay Douglas - Stephenville ISD

With 11 years of coaching experience, Shay Douglas began her coaching career at Troy High School as the Girls Coordinator, Head Volleyball, and Head Track coach from 2010-2014. Douglas then spent the next 4 years as the Head Volleyball coach and Assistant Track coach at Giddings High School. While at Giddings, Douglas had two District Championships and 4 consecutive playoff appearances. Then in 2018, Coach Douglas was named the Head Volleyball coach at her Alma Mater Stephenville High School where she has spent the last three seasons developing a very competitive and well respected volleyball program. Entering her fourth season at Stephenville she has compiled a 90-33 record with two consecutive District Championships and three consecutive Regional Quarterfinal appearances.  
Coach Douglas was born in Plano, Texas and raised in Stephenville, Texas, and is a 2005 graduate of Stephenville High School. Upon graduating from high school, she continued to pursue her love for the game of volleyball at Tarleton State University where she graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Fitness Management and emphasis in Mathematics. Coach Douglas then received her Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Tarleton State in 2010. Coach Douglas has two children Harlee(9 yrs old) and Scout(6 yrs old).
