Cody Hughes is the Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Human Performance at Madison Academy in Huntsville, AL. Coach Hughes has coached in the SEC, Division 1, Division 2, and High School levels.

Coach Hughes is in his 6th year at Madison Academy where he leads one of the best HS performance departments in the country at the small school scale. Coach Hughes leads the training for all sports, including a football program with a 53-14 record (80% winning percentage) since he stepped on campus. In 2023, 7 athletes have eclipsed 20+ MPH in-game and 2 athletes 21+ MPH. Currently 8-0.

Coach Hughes has trained multiple individual state champions in Track and Field and a Team State Title in 2023.
