3 High Safety Defense

by Defensive Summit
3 High Safety Defense

Description

This session explains the advantages of the three‑high safety structure, emphasizing how it helps players fit and play faster while disguising pressures and coverages. Coach Wes Glaser highlights its flexibility moving seamlessly from a 4–2–5 base into three‑down looks while maintaining consistent pre‑snap pictures to confuse quarterbacks. Key teaching points include handling motion, boundary formations, empty sets, and condensed looks with simplified adjustments.
