A Simple, Adaptable & Effective Punt
by Bryan Cummings
Description
I designed this course the same way I set up my own fall special teams Install. This course walks you through how I Install and practice this 2 Man Sheild Punt efficiently and effectively, providing you with a great base to an adaptable scheme that will be simple for your players and complex to your opponents.
This course will touch on the following throughout:
Philosophy, Scheme Overview, Unit Goals, Personnel Identification, Teaching Progressions, Practice Diagrams, & Techniques
All progressions are accompanied by diagrams & video of onfield drills to see real examples for reference.
The final portion of this course includes an abundance of real game clips where I walk you through the good as well as the bad.
I believe this course will provide you with everything you need to be successful in teaching & installing your punt unit for next season.
I am excited to help coaches dominate Phase 3! So if you like what I have provided, give me a follow on Twitter (@TheBigBacker) or E-Mail me at Phase3ST@gmail.com

The Coach
My coaching journey has spanned over 12 years and has taken me across several levels of the game.
My career started at the University at Buffalo where I was a two-year Captain and served as a Student Assistant after my playing career ended.
From there I coached four years at the High School level, at two different schools, winning the conference each year. The past 7 years I have coached special teams throughout all levels of D-1 football with stops at Texas A&M, Alabama A&M, University of Northern Colorado, & University of North Carolina.
From my time coaching at the college level, I have had the honor of seeing multiple players recieve honors on special teams, with multiple All-Americans, All-Conference, Players of the Year, & Conference Players of the Week. As a coordinator, I have turned around 2 punt units, taking them both from 100+ in net punt to a top 25 finish in year 1. Multiple top 15 finishes in Punt Return & Finishing #1 in the FCS in 2015 with a 24.18 yard avg. per return. My KOC units have always been one of the top units in conference and my KOR has are efficient and effective, putting up multiple returns for touchdowns.
Over the years I've adapted and made adjustments to my system, to help create the simplest, most efficient installs, and my heavy focus on technique has helped me to create some the top special teams units in the country.
