The Coach
Andrew Dresner was appointed as Stony Brook's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in January 2023, following a successful five-year tenure at the University of Maine. At Maine, Dresner served four seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, where he consistently led one of the top offenses in the CAA. Under his guidance, the Black Bears’ offense ranked in the top five in scoring in four out of five seasons, and in 2019 and 2021, Maine boasted the top passing offense in the conference. During his time at Maine, Dresner developed four players who went on to sign professional contracts in the NFL and CFL. His leadership was evident when he served as interim head coach in December 2021, helping to secure a strong early signing class and retain key players.
