Bill Brest has been a part of the Grove City coaching staff for six seasons as of 2019, where he has been primarily involved in coordinating special teams but also coached wide receivers and defensive backs during his initial five seasons. Under his guidance, Grove City has achieved success in Eastern College Athletic Conference bowl games and has seen notable achievements like kicker Nick Morrow becoming the program's all-time leader in kick points scored and earning All-PAC honors. In 2022, Grove City's football team had an 8-3 record, ranking third in total defense within the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) with 18 interceptions, the second-highest in the conference.

Additionally, Brest's tenure at Grove City has seen significant offensive accomplishments, with the Wolverines leading the PAC in total offense in 2019 and tying the program's record for wins in a season at 9-2. Noteworthy contributions from players like junior wide receivers Cody Gustafson and Cameron Drake, along with quarterback Josh Ehst leading NCAA Division III in yards per completion, showcase the impact of Brest's coaching on offensive prowess.
