Brett Arkelian joined the Fresno State coaching staff in February 2023. He is the Bulldogs’ special teams quality control coach and enters his second season with the Bulldogs in 2024. He joined UC Davis in 2022 as the Special Teams/Offensive Analyst Coach for the Aggies. His responsibilities include overseeing special teams’ meetings, developing game plans, and helping players improve their skills. Arkelian has a wealth of experience as a kicker and punter, having played at the University of Tennessee at Martin and Lincoln University. He also gained valuable insights during his coaching stints at Virginia Tech, Rice University, and Marshall University. He has contributed to successful special teams units and worked closely with players to help them achieve record performances.

Arkelian has authored "The Kicker's Bible" and hosts the "Iceman Kicking Podcast," which focuses on empowering specialists and dispelling myths in the realm of special teams. His background as a standout player and a coach focused on player development underscores his commitment to excellence in special teams’ strategy and execution.
