This 22 slide presentation was made with the intention of helping coaches that coach the LB position, specifically in odd front structures with how they need to read and fit and different drills that will aid in developing the skills to be successful at the position from training their eyes to leverage to block destruction to tackling. I have 10+ years of coaching experience serving in different roles such as Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator and Linebackers Coach. I am currently the Co-DC, Special Teams Coordinator and LB coach at Pryor HS in Pryor OK. I have been blessed to coach some great kids all with varying skill sets, abilities and body types but one common thing I have been able to get out of them is being fundamentally sound players that play with great leverage and tackle with a relentless pursuit of the ball.
