The Coach
After being the head coach of Washington University (St. Louis) for 31 years, Coach Larry Kindom announced his retirement last season. Now he works as an assistant coach and defensive backs coach on new head coach Aaron Keen's staff.
During his tenure at Washington University, Coach Kindom had a 185-116 record with 12 University Athletic Association (UAA) championships and one Southern Athletic Association (SAA) title. He guided the Bears to NCAA Division III playoff appearances in 1999, 2013 and 2016, and is one of only 89 coaches, regardless of division, to surpass 200 overall wins.
At the time of his retirement, Kindbom ranked 17th in NCAA Division III history and 58th all-time with 220 career victories.
