Dan Vogt, a 2018 graduate of Grove City College, is now in his second season as the defensive coordinator for the college's football team, where he also mentors the linebackers. In his debut season as defensive coordinator in 2022, Vogt played a pivotal role in the Wolverines' success, leading them to an 8-3 overall record and a victory in the ECAC James Lynah Bowl against FDU-Florham. Notably, Grove City's defense excelled in areas like rushing defense and interceptions, showcasing Vogt's strategic prowess. Linebacker Ryan Fleming achieved a milestone by becoming the program's all-time leader in quarterback sacks, while another linebacker, Ben Bladel, received recognition as the PAC and ECAC Newcomer of the Year.

Vogt's journey at Grove City started with coaching roles in the offense, specifically working with running backs and tight ends, before transitioning to defensive coaching in 2020. Additionally, Vogt is actively overseeing the team's strength and conditioning programs, highlighting his holistic approach to player development. Having been a two-year letterwinner and later a student assistant coach at Grove City, Vogt's deep understanding of the program's dynamics and his educational background in exercise science contribute to his effectiveness as a coach.
