Coach Jason Todd – South Oak Cliff High School

3 state titles + 5 straight championship appearances

Jason Todd is the Head Football Coach at South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas, Texas, and one of the most accomplished high school football coaches in the state.

Todd has led the Golden Bears to three UIL Class 5A Division II State Championships (2021, 2022 and 2025) and an extraordinary five consecutive state championship game appearances from 2021–2025.

South Oak Cliff's 2021 championship was especially historic, ending a 58-year drought for Dallas ISD football programs and establishing SOC as one of the premier programs in Texas.

With the Golden Bears' 2025 championship, Todd became the first Black head football coach in Texas UIL history to win three state championships. He was also named the 5A State of Texas Coach of the Year by the Texas Sports Writers Association.

Todd's coaching roots run deep in Dallas football. He began his career at Dallas Lincoln, where he was part of a staff that reached the state championship game, before spending nine years as an assistant at Skyline High School. He later took over the South Oak Cliff program and has helped transform the Golden Bears into a perennial state championship contender.

Known for building a program around toughness, discipline, player development and championship-level expectations, Coach Todd has established South Oak Cliff as one of the most respected high school football programs in the country.
