Marvin Clecidor enters his first season as Penn football's defensive backs coach in 2024. He begins his position with the Quakers following two seasons as safeties coach and pass game coordinator at Temple. Clecidor oversaw the production of Owls' graduate student Tywan Francis in 2023, finishing second on the team in total tackles with 78 and also had a team-high two interceptions with five pass breakups. The safety finished third in the AAC in solo tackles with 58. 

Clecidor became a member of the coaching staff for the Temple Football team in February 2022 and initially served as the safety coach. Clecidor has an impressive coaching background. While at Western Michigan, he mentored the cornerbacks and witnessed the exceptional performance of players like Patrick Lupro and Dorian Jackson. His previous work at Princeton also demonstrated his ability to develop formidable defenses. Clecidor's achievements at Princeton included an unbeaten season in 2018 and producing all-Ivy League players like Delan Stallworth and Jeremiah Tyler.

In addition to Princeton, Clecidor contributed significantly to the football programs at William & Mary and Monmouth. He played a crucial role in helping players such as DeAndre Houston-Carson and Tevrin Brandon achieve success and gain recognition at the collegiate and professional levels. Clecidor's coaching journey also involved various stints at Rutgers, Wagner, and Wilkes University, where he honed his skills in developing defensive backs and contributing to his teams' successful seasons. Clecidor's expertise and track record make him a valuable asset in coaching defensive backs and elevating their performance on the field.
