OL Fundamentals in the Triple

Description

This course provides a foundational overview of zone blocking schemes, emphasizing the philosophy behind inside zone and its adaptability for high school and middle school programs. The session covers personnel considerations, base schemes versus different defensive fronts, and the importance of pre-snap keys. Coaches will see cut-ups and drills designed to reinforce consistent fundamentals while learning how to simplify teaching for younger players.

A 3-year starting lineman at Wofford, Trey Johnson became the O-Line Coach at Wofford in 2018 after coaching high school for 3 seasons and then helping Eastern New Mexico to an 8-2 record as Tight Ends coach. His first season at Wofford was 5th in the nation in rushing during his first season at Wofford, allowing only 9 sacks. Last season his offensive line ranked first in nation in fewest sacks allowed and was 3rd in nation in rushing. Wofford won conference championships during both seasons.
