In this course, Coach Montalbano details the process of he uses to get the most out of his offense while using non-traditional athletes at the Quarterback position. Coach Montalbano details the factors to consider when choosing a Quarterback, as well as the advantages and disadvantages to using different types of Quarterbacks. Coach Montalbano details options to use with Quarterbacks in the running game to move the ball, as well as easy throws to get completions with a Quarterback who may be limited in arm strength. Finally, Coach Montalbano details the value of selecting pass concepts that are good against all looks to utlize familiarity for the Quarterback, as they are used week to week throughout the season.

The Coach
Jake Montalbano is the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Hamilton County High School in Jasper, Florida. Coach Montalbano has 14 years of high school coaching experience. In that time he has produced numerous offenses that have set school and state records. He has coached four Quarterbacks that have gone on to play college football. In 2014 his offense at Union High School in Union, Missouri was ranked in the top 5 in the state in total offense, and passing offense. His offense also had a wide reciever that led the state of Missouri in recieving yards. In 2018, while the head coach at Cuba High SChool in Cuba, Missouri, his offense set school records for total offense, passing offense, and points scored. In 2022, Coach Montalbano took over the offense at Hamilton County High School in Jasper, Florida where his offense was able to improve in total offense, despite having to play three different Quarterbakcs throughout the season.
