Understanding the gallop movement rhythm and the different variations will expand your tool box to coach level change for cuts, tackling and other transitional movements. Galloping is a fundamental movement skill that is often overlooked and misunderstood. This intro will provide a foundation for coaches to build from and apply gallop movements in their performance programs.

The Coach
Ryan Ojeda is currently an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at the University of North Texas for Football. He has been involved in the performance industry for 2 decades, starting at Parisi Speed School as a Performance Coach, Program Director and Co-Director of the Parisi NFL Combine Training program(05,06). He founded and operated his own company, Ojeda Sports Performance, where he consulted Power 5 Football programs on speed development. He has had stops as a WR coach and Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at St. Thomas Aquinas High School (Fort Lauderale, FL), Athlos Academy as an Athletic Movement Coach in New Orleans, LA and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at West Feliciana High School in West Feliciana Parish, LA. He was selected the 2023 Louisiana Strength Coach of the Year by the National High School Strength Coaches Association (NHSSCA).
