The Coach
Richard Nagy has been appointed as the new defensive coordinator for Lehigh's 2023 season. With over 35 years of coaching experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. Before joining Lehigh, Nagy was the head coach at Allegheny College for three seasons, where he mentored 13 all-conference student-athletes and developed a strong coaching foundation. He has also held key positions at Old Dominion, Western Michigan, Murray State, and Hofstra, and contributed significantly to defensive strategies and player development.
At Old Dominion, Nagy coached standout defenders such as Oshane Ximines, who set single-season sack records and went on to play in the NFL. Nagy has also played a vital role in achieving conference titles and playoff appearances at the University of Maine. With his diverse experience spanning from Division III to Division I levels, Nagy has showcased his adaptability and expertise in shaping winning football programs.
