The Coach
Spencer Brown, appointed as the Holekamp Family Director of Strength, Speed, & Conditioning at Dartmouth in 2016, collaborates with coaching staff, athletic trainers, and student-athletes to create tailored, year-round strength and conditioning programs for each sport. He supervises two assistant coaches and strength and conditioning interns. Previously, Brown served as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Moravian College, managing all fitness-related operations and staff. At Lafayette College, he was the Assistant Director of Sports Performance, overseeing a 4,000-square-foot facility for 14 sports teams. A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach, Brown played linebacker for Lafayette College from 2006 to 2009, earning a BA in anthropology and sociology. A Florida native and J.W. Mitchell High School alumnus, he was a second-team all-state football selection and two-time state qualifier in weightlifting.
