The Coach
George Coltharp is a veteran football coach, educator, and coaching educator with more than 25 years of experience at the high school and collegiate levels. Throughout his career, he has served as a Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, Athletic Director, and Assistant Principal, giving him a unique perspective on building successful football programs from every angle.
Coach Coltharp's Air Raid journey began in 2011 when he was hired to rebuild a struggling high school football program in North Carolina. That opportunity led him to Offensive Coordinator Joe Salas, whose coaching roots traced directly to Hal Mumme's Air Raid system. What began as a program rebuild quickly became a passion for studying, teaching, and refining one of football's most influential offensive systems.
Over the next fifteen years, Coach Coltharp invested countless hours learning from many of the coaches who helped shape the Air Raid, attending clinics across the country, studying under respected offensive minds, and continually adapting the offense for the high school game.
Since 2019, he has shared that knowledge through YouTube, CoachTube, live coaching clinics, online coaching communities, books, and digital coaching resources. His educational content has helped thousands of coaches better understand, install, and teach the Air Raid offense while building successful programs of their own.
