The Coach
Bill DeLongis is in his 15th year as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach, with experience across all three NCAA divisions. He has also worked seasonally with USA Women’s Hockey since 2017, assisting the National Team and serving as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the U18 National Team from 2018-2023 as well as the 2024 Collegiate Team that captured the Euro Tour Championship. Additionally, he has coached at multiple U15 and U18 Development Camps.
DeLongis earned his bachelor's degree in physical education with a concentration in fitness and wellness from Winthrop University in South Carolina and a Master's of Education with a concentration in Experiential Education from Plymouth State University. DeLongis also has competed in powerlifting and strongman through the North American Strongman Association. Along with coaching, he has also written sports performance articles for ProHockeyStrength.com, STACK Magazine, Stack.com, Train Heroic, and Breaking Muscle, and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and on CBS for using power tools for massage. Finally, he is the host of the Strength on Ice Podcast and creator of the Strength on Ice Summit.
