The Speed and Power Sports Program is a 10 week, all inclusive program to work on an athlete's speed, power and strength.
This program goes above and beyond a normal program you might buy in that we explain the key concepts of the program and each phase within the program. Teaching you why power is important and how these exercises incoporate into getting athletes stronger and faster is what you can expect in the key concepts sections.
Every exercise is accompied with a video demonstraing how to perform each one with great technique. You can also expect a printable PDF to track your weights, times and notes.
The program is divided into three phases. Phase 1 works on the eccentric strength and introduction to sprint drills and sprinting. Phase 2 works on isometric strength and building off the sprinting in phase 1. Phase 3 works on concetric strength and fully displaying the speed, power and strength built throughout the 10 week program.
Nuances like what to do on recovery days and how to warm-up with neurological wake up drills are included as well.
Tom is a physical therapist and strength & conditioning specialist in Minnetonka, Minnesota. A lifelong athlete, Tom continues to develop his passion and knowledge of sports performance through a dedicated effort of research, commitment and experimentation. Tom co-founded Bold Base Performance with Brad Baker to create a platform to share their knowledge and experience in rehab, fitness, exercise and sports performance. He wants parents, coaches, athletes and trainers to feel empowered in their decision making and confident that they are doing the most efficient and effective things. Tom is passionate about optimizing the pillars of performance so athletes can reach untapped levels of athleticism and be successful in sport and in life. His ultimate goal is to provide the next generation of athletes the resources on how to exercise, think, eat and sleep in order to maximize their potential.
