Building Into a 3-2-2 Zone, Chelsea Gamble, Head Coach, Oregon
by Jamie MunroDescription
Women's Lacrosse Defense is extremely difficult to effectively implement. It is a world of a lot more difficult to effectively practice the right defensive sets. Gamble breaks down how to introduce the 3-2-2 Defensive set in a digestible and doable way. She explains the importance of starting with five on five so that the players can better understand the defensive frame shift. After an adequate intelligence base is created, the other two defenders are added, the full complexity realized. She offers invaluable analysis in regards to how the defensive performs. Coach Gamble makes sure to explain the rotations and all the other ins and outs of the defense to set you up to be optimally effective.
