The Coach
Since 2010, Munro has served as a color analyst for international and collegiate lacrosse coverage on ESPNU. He has hosted a podcast series on ESPN radio and, leading up to the Men’s Federation of International Lacrosse Championships in 2014, Munro mounted a weekly online lacrosse series for an ABC-TV affiliate.
Munro began his Division I career as the Assistant Coach for Yale University (1991 – 1998). At Yale, Munro combined his primary title with turns as both the Offensive then Defensive Coordinator, designing an attack strategy that helped the team earn a Top 20 national ranking five times, reaching the NCAA quarterfinals in 1992. During this period, Jamie also developed critical experience as Yale’s recruiting coordinator, handling all scouting and evaluation activities of high school prospects. Jamie graduated from Brown University in 1989 where he was a four-year member of the Brown University Men’s Lacrosse team and served as captain his senior year. He garnered All-Ivy league honors from 1987-1989 and capped his collegiate career by being named All-American. After Brown, Munro coached for a season at Colorado College and then traveled down under to coach and play in Perth, Australia.
