Jenna Bane & Paige Williams - Abilene HS

Jenna Bane and Jodi Paige Williams, cousins from Rogers, TX grew up as a pitching/catching duo. Bane graduated from Temple High School in 2011 and Williams graduated from Rogers High School in 2013. Both played collegiately at Temple College for 2 years. Bane went on to play at the University of Central Arkansas, but after medically retiring, completed her undergrad at Texas A&M in College Station. Williams went on to pitch at Texas State University. Both coaches began their playing and coaching careers under the leadership of Kristen Zaleski, current assistant coach at the University of Texas.  Bane’s coaching career began at Temple College as a volunteer assistant in the spring of 2016 before becoming the head softball coach at Navasota High School, where she took them to the playoffs for the first time in school history. After 3 years at Navasota, she went to Caddo Mills for 2 years, before taking the job at Abilene High School where she currently serves as the head softball coach. She was named the 2023 THSCA Region 2 Head Softball Coach of the Year. Williams spent her first five seasons at the collegiate level. She was the assistant coach at Temple College in 2018-2019 where she was named on the 2018 NJCAA DI National Coaching Staff of the Year after the program won the 2018 NJCAA DI National Softball Championship. She also coached at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi from 2019-2022, where she was named interim head coach in 2022.  Bane and Williams reconnected back at Abilene High School in the fall of 2022 where they currently work together. Their first season, Abilene was Bi-District Champions finishing with a record of 27-7.
