Lisa Fernandez

Lisa Fernandez is one of the most respected figures in college softball and is entering her 28th season on the UCLA coaching staff, including her fourth year as Associate Head Softball Coach. Over her 27 seasons at UCLA, the Bruins boast an incredible 1,267–272–2 record, five NCAA Championships (1999, 2003, 2004, 2010, and 2019), 13 Women’s College World Series appearances, seven Pac-10/12 regular-season titles, and one Pac-12 Tournament championship.

Fernandez has also been recognized multiple times for her coaching excellence, including three NFCA National Coaching Staff of the Year awards and nine NFCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year honors across her tenure. Recently, she managed one of the nation’s most powerful offenses in 2025, UCLA ranked top 10 in runs (485), home runs (101), and slugging percentage (.591), highlighting her impact as a recruiter and infield/hitting coach.

Beyond college softball, Lisa serves as one of four general managers in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League. In 2025, she led the Talons to the league’s inaugural championship, guiding an elite roster to an 18–6 record and drawing significant national attention
