I grew up swimming competitively in Amarillo, TX. Upon graduating Amarillo High, I ended my competitive swimming career and began running cross country and track at Texas Tech. I had always had coaching in the back of my head, but when I did my student teaching and had the opportunity to coach track as well, I found a new love, and knew that I was going to be a coach.
