The Coach
Michael Center was a collegiate tennis coach for 28 years. The last 19 years he coached at the University of Texas. His teams consistently competed at the highest level, earning appearances in Final Fours and national championship matches, including a national championship won by the final team he coached.
During his career, Michael guided programs with a strong emphasis on work ethic, competition, and leadership. His teams regularly qualified for NCAA Championship play and maintained a standard of consistency and accountability. Michael’s coaching philosophy focused on building competitive players, developing strong team culture, and helping athletes grow both on and off the court.
