Lecture Title: T&F Operating in Tight Spaces
Coach Ervin is in his 13th season as the Head Track and Field/Head Cross Country Coach of the Bulldogs of Summer Creek High School. Ervin just completed his 19th year of coaching track and field after having stints at the University of Houston, Cypress Springs, and Atascocita High School. He served as the Head Track and Field Coach at Cypress Springs High School in 2007. Ervin ran track at the University of Houston where he competed in the 400 and 800 meters. After the completion of his collegiate career, he served on the Track and Field Coaching Staff at U of H. Ervin begin his collegiate career at the University of Kansas, where he was a member of the Jayhawks' 4x400-meter relay team and competed in the 800 meters. In 2013, Ervin guided the Bulldogs to the Humble I.S.D first ever Track and Field State Championship when he led the Bulldogs to the 2013 4A Title. The Bulldogs brought home their 2nd State T&F title this year (2021) when they won the 6A title led by 1st place finishes in the Discus, High Jump, and 110HH. Born August 19, 1980, in Jasper, Texas, Ervin was a high school.
