The Coach

Tyler Germain is the head track and field coach at Kalamazoo Central High School in Kalamazoo, Michigan. For 20 seasons he has worked primarily with sprinters and hurdlers at the high school level in both Michigan and Illinois. Coach Germain has served as everything from a volunteer to a head coach in both boys and girls programs.

In 2024, Coach Germain led Kalamazoo Central High School's boys program to its first state championship since 1965. He was named the Michigan High School Coaches Association Coach of the Year, as well as the NFHS Coach of the Year for Section 4 (Midwest Region).
