The Coach
Stacey Smith is a veteran track & field coach and accomplished former athlete, currently in her 23rd year in the sport. She is an NCAA Champion, USA Champion, and a nine-time All-American, with her first All-American honor coming as part of the 4x400 relay. She is also a four-time Big 12 Champion and holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree.
Known for keeping things simple and practical, Stacey focuses on developing athletes through consistent fundamentals, especially approach consistency, efficient takeoff mechanics, and choosing the right flight style for each jumper. She emphasizes coaching with a strong sense of purpose, often grounding her program in the belief that growth in sport should also support growth in life.
