The Coach

Coach Zach Siegmeier, a standout pole vaulter from the University of Minnesota, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as an assistant coach for the Maroon & Gold track & field program. After serving as the director of operations for men’s track & field and cross country, Siegmeier's role was elevated to assistant coach, where he has made significant contributions since the 2018-19 season. As the coordinator for both men's and women's pole vault and men's and women's high jump, he has played a pivotal role in the success of the program. During his tenure, Siegmeier has coached athletes to All-America honors, NCAA West Prelim berths, and conference titles, showcasing his ability to develop talent across multiple disciplines. Notably, he guided Allison Gerads and Teddy Frid to All-America honors in the pentathlon and decathlon, respectively, while also coaching pole vaulters Lexy Berger, Mike Herauf, and Ekhardt Van der Watt to NCAA West Prelim berths. Additionally, Siegmeier has played a key role in the academic and athletic success of his athletes, earning recognition as a three-time All-Big Ten and Academic All-Big Ten honoree during his collegiate career. With a passion for coaching and a proven track record of success, Siegmeier continues to inspire and mentor athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the field.

Coach Zach Siegmeier's Achievements:
