Now you will begin building your network with a completely blank slate.
Starting with yourself, you will begin to identify contacts and connectors (treated the same on diagram) and each will be assigned a circle.
Your first stage can be done with pencil and paper.
Initially I recommend using paper larger than the standard 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper. This will allow you to complete your first two degrees, which includes you, your 1st degree contacts and their contacts, your second degree connections.
Next find a large area to re-create your network and add it to. You can create one for your wall or for a desktop. They key is that the area is very big, 5'x5' or so.
I like to be able to stand back and look at my entire network, so the wall works best for me.
Software Design or Old School
Eventually you will want to either stay with the Old School theme using pencill and paper/poster/cover the wall, or use a software diagram program. I'm using Mindmeister.com right now and it does a good job at least early in the process. www.mindmeister.com is the website.

The primary focus is to learn a system that has worked for over 100 coaches to reach positions in high school, AAU, Prep School, Junior College, College NCAA all levels, and the NBA. The course is the culmination of over 30 years of networking successfully and at time, unsuccessfully. My mistakes are...
