The Power of Networking
by Randy Brown, Director-Elite Coach Mentoring
Make the Mind Shift from Boring to Lucrative
Networking is often known as one of two things by most people. Strangely, these are conflicting terms. Some think of networking as boring and something they'd rather not do. Successful people see networking as a lucrative opportunity and see it as a powerful tool to get what they desire. Which do you believe in?
To be successful in any field you must realize this:
1. It's not who you think you know, it's who knows you.
2. When one person knows you, you are actually connected to; A. the people they know, and B. the people they haven't met yet.
3. Understanding the degrees of separation is one thing, and for some just a visual that helps them understand how to web of relationships work. The key that successful people understand is how to;
A. Know and employ the strategies for turning a connection into a relationship and a member of your network. B. Turning 3 degrees to 2, 2 degrees to 1, and building as many one degree relationships as possible.
4. You can write your ticket in your respective field if you believe in the power of networking, learn the strategies for relationship building, and make networking efforts a part of every day life.
