    QB Snap Stance

     view description
    • Basic QB Body Position
      • Upright position, eyes forward, shoulders square and parallel to the line of scrimmage, all to see the defense.
      • Athletic position, with bends in ankles, knees and hips.
      • Feet shoulder-width apart, with the weight on the balls of feet.
      • Arms extended in front of the body, with slight bend in elbows for "give" with snap.

      Hand Position and Snap
      • The throwing hand is on top and on the center's backside; the non-throwing hand is on the bottom and fits into the thumb groove of throwing hand.
      • Maintain hand pressure during the snap and "ride" the ball up before pulling the football from center.
      • Minimize hand separation during the snap.
      • Put the ball on the stomach for ball security.
