Adam Gaylor

About

As Jenks defensive coordinator since 2019, Adam has helped lead the Trojans to back-to-back Class 6A1 State Championships in 2020 & 2021. The Trojans have made 3 Class 6A1 State Finals appearances in Gaylor’s four seasons and a semi-finals birth in 2022. Gaylor’s 2021 defensive unit allowed 8 points per game, the second lowest in school history behind the famed 1997 Legion of Doom squad.

Gaylor spent his previous three seasons as defensive coordinator for the Mustang Broncos. In 2016, Gaylor’s first year as Mustang’s defensive coordinator, the Broncos reached the Class 6AI semifinals.

Before his tenure at Mustang, Gaylor served as the Westmoore head coach in 2014 and 2015.
From 2007 to 2013, Gaylor was the defensive coordinator at Broken Arrow under head coaches Ron Lancaster and Steve Spavital. However, it was in the 2011 season when Gaylor’s defense helped guide the Tigers to a runner-up finish in Class 6A.
During the 2006 season, Gaylor served as the secondary coach at the University of Central Oklahoma.
In 2005, Gaylor served as the defensive coordinator at Class 4A Wagoner High School, helping to lead them to the State Finals for the first time in 50 years.
Before his stint at Wagoner, Gaylor was the secondary coach at Northeastern A&M Junior College during the 2003 & 2004 seasons. In 2003, the Norsemen ranked #2 nationally in the final NJCAA poll.
Gaylor is married to his wife, Kinsey, and has two children, Addyson (15) and Cason (11).
