Michael Fields

Experienced football and multi-sport coach

About

Coach Fields has over thirteen years of experience coaching football.  He has coached youth to high school as a head coach, offensive and defensive coordinator, special teams, and position coach.  In 2019 Fields was on the staff for an undefeated 4A state championship in Oregon and the team made the quarter-finals in 2021.  Currently, Fields serves as an offensive quality assistant, defensive assistant, and linebackers coach for varsity.  For JV and Freshman, Fields serves as both defensive and offensive assistant, helping with coordinating games on both sides of the ball and running special teams.  Previously at the middle school and youth level Fields was a head coach and football operations manager.  Over the past decade Fields has worked youth and high school camps helping to develop players and coaches.  In addition to football, Fields coaches softball, basketball, and baseball. Currently Fields coaches USA Softball in his fifth year with travel softball and 15th year of softball coaching including recreation youth league and all-star teams. He has coached AAU basketball for over five year and previously coached school and rec league teams for four years. Fields has coached baseball mostly at the Little League level and assisted with all-stars and travel for two years.

In addition to coaching, Fields is an assistant professor of management and holds a Ph.D. in Global Leadership and an MBA, he has taught collegiately for over 13 years. He has also served on athletic boards for youth and travel programs as a member, president, and operations director. His passion is developing athletes into good productive citizens by coaching beyond the scoreboard and providing life lessons through sports.
