Zion Nelson is a junior left tackle for the University of Miami. Nelson played his high school career in Sumter, South Carolina at Sumter High School. As a sophomore, Nelson made 7 starts in and played in 10 games. As the starting left tackle, Nelson lead the Hurricane offense to 512-yard output in 2020 Cheez-It Bowl against Oklahoma State. As a Freshman in 2019, Nelson started all 13 games at left tackle. In high school, Nelson was rated a 3 star prospect by ESPN and 247Sports. ESPN ranked him as the 29th overall player in South Carolina and 100th overall tackle in the country.
