Lecture Title: Transitioning from a Swinger to a Hitter
Coach Rangel is in his 25th season as a science teacher and 17th as a head baseball coach. He graduated from Porter HS. in Brownsville, TX where he later became the head baseball coach in 1999. He coached the Porter Cowboys for 12 years before coming over to Harlingen, TX where he is entering his 6th year as the head baseball coach. Rangel attended UTB/TSC on a baseball scholarship and attained an associate degree. He went on to play Division 1 baseball at the University of Texas Pan American in Edinburg, TX where he also received his bachelor’s degree in Science in 1998. He and his lovely wife Martha have four beautiful children.
