Bohl has made significant contributions to the Wyoming Cowboys as their linebackers coach, culminating in numerous successful seasons and bowl championships. His coaching journey began as a Defensive Graduate Assistant before he was promoted to the interim linebackers coach and eventually the full-time linebackers coach. Under his guidance, the Cowboy defense consistently ranked among the top in the Mountain West Conference and nationally in various defensive categories. Bohl's coaching prowess is evident in the success of players like Easton Gibbs and Chad Muma, both of whom earned All-Mountain West honors and garnered attention at the national level for their exceptional performances.

Before his coaching career, Bohl had a distinguished collegiate playing career as a linebacker at Minnesota State University Moorhead. His leadership abilities were evident even then, as he served as a team captain and earned All-Conference honors. Bohl's transition from a standout player to a successful coach highlights his deep understanding of defensive fundamentals and his ability to develop talent, contributing significantly to Wyoming's defensive prowess and success on the football field.
