The Coach
Chris Polizzi enters his sixth season at UT Martin in 2023, serving as an assistant coach and fourth-year defensive coordinator. Since joining the Skyhawk staff in 2018, he has taken on various roles, including assistant head coach, secondary coach, linebacker coach, recruiting coordinator, and co-special teams coordinator. Polizzi has mentored 18 all-conference players, including 2022 Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year and consensus All-American John H. Ford II. Under his guidance, UT Martin secured back-to-back OVC championships for the first time, leading FCS in turnovers gained and interceptions, and ranking among the nation's top in defensive touchdowns, turnover margin, and fumbles recovered.
